CBS News’ Aimee Picchi covers the launch of the ProShares Pet Care ETF (PAWZ) in an interview with ProShares’ Steve Cohen. The fund takes “aim at Americans' growing obsession with their furry friends” by investing in companies that seek to benefit from the proliferation of pet ownership and the emerging trends affecting pet care. Americans are more likely to have pets than children due to generational trends among baby boomers and millennials, which Cohen states are “at the heart of the Pet Care ETF.” In addition, Cohen states that “ninety-five percent of pet owners consider pets as part of their family” and are pampering their pets more than ever before.
