ETF Trends Todd Shriber says the retail landscape is changing as more consumers rely on the convenience of online shopping and “next-generation” retail ETFs focused on e-commerce, with significant exposure to Amazon, are benefitting. He features ONLN, the first ETF focused on retailers that principally sell online. The fund allocates roughly 25% of its weight to Amazon, and though a large weighting can signal potential concentration risk, Shriber says ONLN’s exposure could continue to benefit investors as shoppers continue to transition away from traditional brick-and-mortar stores.
