ProShares Names ETF Industry Veteran Steve Munroe as Chief Marketing Officer

BETHESDA, Md.— ProShares, a premier provider of ETFs, announced today that Steve Munroe has joined the firm as Managing Director, Chief Marketing Officer. Based in the firm’s New York City office in Hudson Yards, Mr. Munroe will report directly to ProShares’ CEO Michael L. Sapir and serve on the firm’s Management Team.

Mr. Munroe joins ProShares from Global X, where he had worked since 2015 and served as head of marketing, overseeing initiatives that helped propel the growth of the company’s ETF lineup in the United States, Europe, and beyond. Prior to Global X, Mr. Munroe held marketing and research roles with Liberty Mutual Insurance and Kantar (formerly MaPS).

Mr. Munroe earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Saint Michael’s College and a master’s degree from Kansas State University.
